Ep. 4: Weekly Wednesday Photo Sharing

These last two weeks have been a “oh crap it’s Tuesday, I need to take a picture,” with surprisingly good results.  Last week’s was a favorite of the year, and this week’s is equally interesting.

Lately, the sunsets have had a nice glow, with beautiful gradients from red, to orange, to purple in the west.  I’ve also been shooting long exposures with my 10 stop filter again.  This exposure is 30 seconds, and I could have easily gone longer if I wanted to hook up my remote.

I took nine frames in this series and selected this one because of the one set of LED white headlights – they provide a wonderful contrast to the many warmer colored headlights.

This image also yielded a new photo opportunity.  The guy who owns the performance auto shop on 14th St came out to ask if I wanted to shoot some sports cars, and left me a business card.  Sounds like I need to learn some automotive photography!
