Last Thursday saw a coworker’s puppy make the rounds through the office. It’s a young mini daschund, and all it wanted to do was snuggle and sleep.

Baguettes!
I can often be found baking. Breads, cookies, scones, and more. Last May I started a sourdough culture and made a few loaves from Flour Water Salt Yeast by Ken Forkish. Sometimes it’s good, sometimes not – it’s always a learning experience. A few weeks ago I decided to make baguettes. The first batch followedContinue reading “Baguettes!”
Wk. 3: Mural Number Three
In early 2017, Downtown Plano announced a mural project that saw three different murals added to this historic main street. I photographed the first one back in August, and never took a decent picture of the second one. Well back in December, mural number three went up. A black and white is this week’s photo. Continue reading “Wk. 3: Mural Number Three”
Wk. 2: B&W of the DART
Here’s this week’s photo. My first long exposure of the year. ISO 200 | f/5.6 | 6s | 24mm
Charlottesville, VA
Over the holiday break I spent a few days in Charlottesville, VA. One day Megan took me to Jack Brown’s for beer (below) and a great burger. ISO 1117 | f/2 | 1/20 | Google Pixel Before Jack Brown’s we wandered around the University of Virginia campus, and then the Downtown Mall. We saw theContinue reading “Charlottesville, VA”
Wk. 1: Moon Set in Roanoke
Welcome to 2018. About 5 or 6 weeks into the Weekly Wednesday thing last year I realized I had a half finished 52 week photo project. In 2018 I plan to continue it, just with a rebranded title for each week. Posts will still be on Wednesday and they’ll still be a photo plus aContinue reading “Wk. 1: Moon Set in Roanoke”
Ep. 14: Weekly Wednesday Photo Sharing
This past week saw some great pictures at the Mandeville lakefront, but no computer on my travels means no new picture this week. The shot below is from my apartment in Plano. It’s taken facing north near the DART tracks, and the train is visible as a blur. I didn’t care for theContinue reading “Ep. 14: Weekly Wednesday Photo Sharing”
Instagram Reflections – 2017
There’s a trend that sweeps Instagram in December; the Instagram Best Nine. It’s pretty simple, you enter your username, it acts like it’ll take ten minutes due to “high demand,” and then it gives you a 3×3 grid of your top nine posts of the calendar year. There’s also a convenient link to the previousContinue reading “Instagram Reflections – 2017”
Ep. 13: Weekly Wednesday Photo Sharing
It has been super foggy lately, so much that I cannot see the top of our construction crane next door. Monday morning I took advantage of the fog I’ve so dearly missed, with this shot, below. The black and white conversion was done in Nik’s Silver Efex Pro. ISO 100 | f/11 | 5sContinue reading “Ep. 13: Weekly Wednesday Photo Sharing”
Time Flows By – Downtown Plano
I spent a lot of time this year photographing my neighborhood, Downtown Plano. It started early this year when I tried out time lapse photography, and spawned into a proper photo project and plenty of nightly shoots. The beginning of October saw the publishing of my first time lapse video, Welcome to Downtown Plano. AfterContinue reading “Time Flows By – Downtown Plano”
